Not knowing a lot about the subject, To me it would appear that changing a panel was simpler and less costly than changing a whole barrel. Think Airbus got this right. That fire damage on the 78 looks a mess and expensive. No advantage at all for panels versus barrels - in this case (may look different for manufacturing/tolerances though)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
