MSN3 flies over German, British and French production plants. Spanish sites will receive the fly-by visit before Christmas.

“Since first flight on June 14th, we received numerous requests from the teams to bring the A350 XWB to the European sites. I am very happy that we are now able to make this site visit happen and aim to welcome the A350 XWB at our Spanish sites soon.” Said Didier Evrard.

Didier Evrard, head of the A350 XWB program said: “2013 has been a truly great year for the A350 XWB industrially and commercially. We have 2 A350s flying, the other 3 members of the flight test fleet are at different stages of final assembly and by the end of this month we will be at over 800 firm orders, one year prior to first delivery.”

Last Thursday 28/November the MSN3 performed the first European flyby at Airbus sites in the UK, France and Germany. At the controls were French pilot Thierry Bourges and his co-pilot Jean-Christophe Lair.
