Airbus plans to roll out the first A350 XWB (MSN001) in April/2013, though it has not specified when the aircraft will make its first flight, aside from saying it expects to reach that milestone "next summer".
Le Bourget Air Show, next year celebrating the 50th aniversary, starts on 17/June. And the summer starts on 21/June...
While MSN001 will take to the skies as the first flying A350 XWB, MSN5000 will never leave the ground. Instead it will be tested to its structural limits in Toulouse. By the time the first development aircraft takes off, the race will be on towards certification and entry into service.
